M-Burg Firemen Seek Aid

The Martinsburg Volunteer Fire Company asked the borough council to pledge future financial support for the fire company if it proceeded with plans to construct its own building. The firemen, during a special meeting of council, asked that a certain amount of tax millage be set aside each year for the fire company.

John T. Miller, 22, of Roaring Spring, was reported in fair condition at Nason Hospital after his automobile plunged 150 feet down an embankment along Route 36 a short distance south of Hollidaysburg.
