Ground Broken for Bypass

Ground was officially broken Monday for the Loysburg bypass, nine years after funding for the project was included in federal legislation. And Congressman Bud Shuster of Everett, who secured that funding, was on hand to throw the first shovel of earth.

The Roaring Spring Community Library celebrated its 30th anniversary in its present location, the former Eldon Inn, with two special events. The library board of directors held an open house for the public Tuesday, March 19, to come in and observe the new computer-card system that was recently installed.
