The Lady Pirates earned a place in the ICC Championship game vs. Tussey Mountain. The Lady Pirates prevailed in the semi and final, even though they were down two starters due to injuries. Despite this deficit, the team rallied together and played some of their best basketball all season. The team was able to end the season with a championship win after a season of dealing with COVID-19 delays/quarantines/closures and untimely player injuries. The Lady Pirates (#No. 2 seed from ICC North) beat Southern Huntingdon (No. 1 seed from ICC South) in the Inter-County Conference Semi-Final with the score of 61-51.
High scorers/rebounders were: Ayla Hileman (19), Kendel Norris (15), Brooke Stewart (14), Krista Simpson (5 pts, 14 rebounds).
This put the Lady Pirates into the ICC Championship game vs. Tussey Mountain (No. 2 seeded in ICC South who beat Bellwood (No. 1 seed in ICC North).
Williamsburg High scorers/rebounders were: Ayla Hileman (17), Kendel Norris (11), Anna Ward (8), Krista Simpson (6 points and 11 rebounds).
Tussey Mountain high scorers were: Meghan Molosky (14), Kailee Leonard (11).

Previous to the ICC tournament, the Lady Pirates made it past first round play in the District 6 playoffs, beating Blacklick Valley 49-41.
High scorers/rebounders were: Kendel Norris (14), Jayla Woodruff (8pts, 10 rebounds) and Ayla Hileman (8).
It had been five years since we made it past the first round. The Lady Pirates then faced Bishop Guilfoyle in the District 6 Semi-Final and ended up losing 73-58.
High scorers/rebounders were: Ayla Hileman (16 pts, 9 rebounds), Jayla Woodruff (15).
We have a young team who finished above expectations at 11-4 overall and 7-2 in the ICC North, and are 2021 ICC Champs. I am very proud of the girls' hard-fought achievements this season and next season we are setting our goals higher for a chance at the district title and making into the state playoffs.
We wish our senior and team captain Anna Ward the best, who is heading to play for Elmira College.
Last week, the ICC announced Ayla Hileman, Megan Palmer, and Kendel Norris as 2021 ICC North All-Stars.
For the Blue Pirates, Lambert Palmer, Drew Hileman, and Josiah Dowey were also named as 2021 ICC North All-Stars.
