Williamsburg Borough Votes for Trash Placement Schedule

Williamsburg Borough residents will now have a time frame to put out their trash, as approve by the borough council during its April 5 regular meeting.

The ordinance states that residents can only put trash out beginning at 11 a.m. the day before trash pick-up. Chief of Police Rowdy Kagarise said of the ordinance, “We just want to have something out there to stop residents from putting trash out days ahead of time.”

Councilmember Bruce Hamilton made the motion to approve the ordinance to be advertised to make it official. Councilmember Paula Hamilton seconded, and the motion passed.
