Claysburg-Kimmel High School hosted a signing day event for four seniors who plan to play at the collegiate level.
"It's a special day," said Athletic Director Brian Helsel. "These kids have played so long."
Three seniors, Olivia Bushore, Harleigh Cavender and Haileigh Reed, play on the Claysburg-Kimmel softball team. Corey Chamberlain plays baseball.
During a small presentation, Principal Stephen Puskar, Superintendent Darren McLaurin, Head Baseball Coach Justin Harris and Head Softball Coach Mike Barbarini said a few words about the athletes.
"Whether you win or lose, there's something called comportment, how you carry yourself," said Puskar. "These kids lead by example."
Each athlete had a short video thanking family and coaches for helping their careers.
"They know what needs to be done and they do it to better themselves," Barbarini said of his players.
"Corey has a special set of skills," said Harris. "He can do all aspects of the game."
Olivia Bushore will enroll at St. Vincent College.
Harleigh Cavender plans to attend Mount Aloysius.
Haileigh Reed will enroll at Washington & Jefferson College.
Corey Chamberlain plans to attend Penn State Altoona.
"We want to hear from you. We're your biggest fans," said Helsel.
