Claysburg Woman's 90th Birthday Parade Included Local Police, Fire Departments

Charlotta McCreary of Claysburg celebrated her 90th birthday on April 29. Joined by East Freedom police and fire departments, McCreary’s family organized a birthday parade that spanned from the Milky Way in East Freedom to the fire hall.

A policeman blocked traffic on Dunnings Highway to allow the parade to move through.

More than 10 family members and friends followed the fire trucks on the parade route.

A mother of 14, McCreary raised her children in a home of “sharing, caring and love,” said her daughter, Suzanne Dellinger.
