Wildcat Caught in Barrens

Thomas C. Sell, 15, a member of Boy Scout Troop 57 of Roaring Spring, was to be presented with the Eagle Scout award May 19 at Trinity United Methodist Church. He was the son of Mr. And Mrs. C.C. Sell.

Mr. And Mrs. Blair R. Bice of Millerstown, Perry County, bought the Odd Fellows building at the corner of E. Allegheny and Wall Streets, from Mrs. Mary Smith of Curryville.

The Ladies of Mount Pleasant Reformed Church advertised a public chicken and waffle dinner on Saturday, May 25, at the North Woodbury Grange Hall, Martinsburg. Dinners were $1 each.

The Classes of 1946 of Martinsburg and Woodbury High Schools were combining for a three-day trip to Washington, D.C., the first trip to the capitol since 1941.

Guy S. Clapper, Martinsburg aviator, leased the Williamsburg Airport for the following year. Mr. Clapper planned to operate sightseeing flights from the field as well as train student fliers.
