Hollidaysburg Man Facing Drug, Firearm Charges

A Hollidaysburg man was jailed after police said they found drugs and firearms in his home.

According to the charges, on April 23 Hollidaysburg Borough police were serving a search warrant at the home of Victor D. Perruna, 37, as part of an investigation of drug activity.

When police arrived, there were three people inside the home, including Perruna.

Police said a search of the residence turned up about 20 mason jars containing what police believe to be marijuana as well as packaging materials such as Ziploc-brand bags and rubber bands along with a scale.

Police said they also found a large amount of THC and vape pens, a smoking pipe and additional marijuana in numerous containers.

Police also found nine firearms along with $1,584 in cash. Police said Perruna is prohibited from possessing firearms due to a 2002 conviction of burglary as well as possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance.

Perruna is facing felony counts of possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, conspiracy and possession with intent to deliver, as well as misdemeanor counts of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was arraigned by Altoona Magisterial District Judge Benjamin Jones who set bail at $50,000.

Online court records indicate Perruna posted bail through a bondsman on April 24.
