For Morrisons Cove Memorial Park's annual spring beautification, 48 community volunteers showed up at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 8, to help beautify Acorn Cove. Volunteers included Martinsburg Boy Scouts, Martinsburg Boosters, Central High School's varsity baseball team, the Hale family, the Bolger family, the Carter family, the Shaulis family, the Kasun family, the Gojmerac family and board members Joe Logan and Luanne Eckenrode. The play park mulch spreading was completed in under one hour.
