Dairy Princess says, 'Thank you!'

Happy May, everyone!

It has been a great year of supporting the dairy industry and our local farmers. I am so thankful for the chance I was given when I was named the Bedford County Dairy Princess last year.

Some of my favorite opportunities as the dairy princess included meeting new people and going to farms in Bedford County and talking to the owners and operators. It was great to hear what the public had to say about the dairy industry as well as explaining the real facts about dairy's many benefits to us all.

I have cherished every moment being the dairy princess this past year and I will forever continue supporting and promoting the dairy industry in my future.

I have gained so much knowledge and I hope to use everything I have learned to benefit myself in operating and managing my own family's dairy farm. This has also given me the opportunity to make so many connections with everyone in the community.

I would highly encourage any girl or boy that has a love for dairy to consider participating in the Bedford County Dairy Promotion Team. You will never regret it!

I also want to thank the following Bedford County businesses for donating to Fill A Glass with Hope, an organization that puts milk into food banks: Clark Contractors, Inc., Bedford Farm Bureau Coop, Morral Farm Supply, Long's Outpost, Inc., Hometown Bank, RL Insulation Co. Inc., Serenity Salon, and Tri County Bulk Milk Haulers, Inc. Thank you so much for your support!

Finally, I would like to thank the entire community for all the tremendous support I received this year. I feel so honored to have served as your 2020-2021 Bedford County Dairy Princess.

Thank you all and don't forget to get your three servings of dairy today and every day!
