LEGAL NOTICE GREENFIELD TOWNSHIP

Notice is herby given by the Board of Supervisors of Greenfield Township of the intention to act upon the following proposed ordinances:

VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTER TAX CREDIT ORDINANCE 2021-01 ESTABLISHING A VOLUNTEER SERVICE CREDIT PROGRAM; ENACTING TAX CREDITS FOR VOLUNTEER MEMBERS OF VOLUNTEER FIRE COMPANIES; AND ESTABLISHING ADMINISTRATIVE PROCEDURES AND APPEALS.

The full text of the proposed Volunteer Firefighter Tax Credit Ordinance 2021-01 is available for public inspection at the Greenfield Township municipal building during regular business hours.

The Board of Supervisors plans to consider its respective Ordinances at its regular monthly meeting scheduled on July 6, 2021, at 6:30 p.m., located at 477 Ski Gap Road, Claysburg, PA. Any interested parties may submit comments at this Greenfield Township meeting.

INVITATION FOR BIDS

The Taylor Township Supervisors will receive sealed bids until 4:00 p.m. prevailing local time on the 12th day of July 2021 at the Township’s Office, 7217 Woodbury Pike, Roaring Spring, PA 16673. The bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 6:00 pm the same day by the Township Secretary at the Township Building for the following contract:

Contract 2021-1: Taylor Township Flashing Warning Device Project

The project consists of the installation of advance flashing warning lights located in advance of the SR 0036/SR 2004 (Woodbury Pike/Cross Cove Road) intersection. The new equipment is to be installed on new poles, located in Roaring Spring, PA.

Contract Documents may be obtained at the office of Stiffler, McGraw & Associates, Inc., 1731 N. Juniata Street, Hollidaysburg, PA 16648. Payment for the Contract Documents will be $56.00, which price includes 6% Pennsylvania Sales Tax. Digital Copies are available in PDF format on Compact Disk at a 50% discount of the paper copies cost. All checks should be made payable to Stiffler, McGraw & Associates, Inc. Fee is non-refundable. A $10.00 ($5.00 for Digital) fee for postage and handling will be required for Contract Documents that are mailed to bidders. Faxed bids will not be accepted.

A certified check or bank draft, made payable to Taylor Township or a satisfactory Bid Bond on the form provided, executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total of the Bid, shall be submitted with each bid.

The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Performance and Payments Bonds, on the forms provided each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price with a surety company listed on the Treasury Department’s most current list (Circular 570 as amended) and be authorized to transact business in the State of Pennsylvania.

Bidders for this contract shall have completed projects similar in character and scope and will be required to provide with their Bid a Qualifications Statement for prime contractor and all subcontractors. Contractors are required to be PennDOT prequalified.

Pennsylvania Prevailing wage rates will apply to this project.

Taylor Township reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding.

You are hereby notified that on the 28th day of May, 2021, the Plaintiff filed a Complaint in Action to Quiet Title endorsed with a notice to plead concerning the following described premises:

The Court, on the 28th day of May, 2021, authorized service upon you by publication of this Notice.

You have been sued in Court. If you wish to defend against this suit you must take action within twenty (20) days from the date of this publication and you must enter a written appearance personally or by attorney, and file your defenses or objections in writing with the Court. You are warned that if you fail to do so, the case may proceed without you and a judgment may be entered against you by the Court without further notice. Form of Advertisement

Sealed proposals will be received by the Catharine Township of Blair County at 1229 Recreation Drive, Williamsburg, PA 16693 until 7 p.m. on June 17, 2021 for the following:

Item 1, Backhoe/loader equal to John Deere 310/410, without operator, 200 estimated hours of use.

Item 2, Grader, minimum 14ft. blade, without operator, 50 estimated hours of use.

The township will not supply anti-skid, salt and brine.

The township will not guarantee any of all hours of use.

The township will not pay for any down time.

The contractor is responsible for the fuel, proof of insurance and care and maintenance of the equipment.

Liquidated damages apply.

Proposals must be upon the forms furnished by the Municipality.

The bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of 10% of the bid, made payable to the municipality.

The Municipality reserves the right to reject any or all proposals.
