SC Hires New Staff

The Spring Cove School Board Money night hired a technology specialist and an industrial arts teacher.
The technology specialist is a new professional staff position. Filling the post will be Daniel Berger of Huntingdon RD 1, who was hired as a temporary professional employee with the start of the next school year and will be paid $27,365, the beginning step of the master’s level under the professional employee contact.
Food Lion will close its one-year-old Roaring Spring food store on July 27, and Giant Eagle will take it over, moving from its present location in Roaring Spring.
Claysburg-Kimmel senior Dana Fickes, daughter of Robery and Deloris Fickes of Claysburg, was selected as Rotary Student of the Month for June.
Ryan W. Durney of Martinsburg has been named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at Columbus College of Art and Design in Columbus, Ohio.
