Beloved Strawberry Field Closes Business After 20 Years

'The community has always shown support.'

After 20 years of selling strawberries and running a strawberry farm, Pat and Elaine Fraizer of Lock Mountain Strawberries are retiring – again.

In 2001, Pat retired from being a high school biology teacher, while Elaine retired from being a middle school teacher. They decided to start growing strawberries, and they planted their first acre in front of where their tent is set up now.

The acres of strawberries are located at Pat and Elaine's farm, which used to be Elaine's grandparents', then her parents'.

Elaine's father rebuilt the dam by the property and planted trees all around. These trees...
