Organizers Proclaim First-Ever Pride March in RS a Success

Wayne Ellis, 56, of Hollidaysburg, participated in the Pride march through Roaring Spring on Saturday, June 26. Ellis said progress in accepting the LGBTQ community has been made but that there is still a long way to go.

If you drove through Roaring Spring on Saturday afternoon, June 26, chances are you came across a group of nearly 40 people walking through town waiving rainbow flags in honor of Pride Month. June has been designated the month where members of the LGBTQ community gather across the world to celebrate LGBTQ culture and to draw attention to issues the LGBTQ community still face.
