Police Warn of Fake $100 Bills

This $100 dollar bill was found on the ground during last week's Agriculture Parade.

Martinsburg Police are warning people to be alert to the possibility of fake money in the area.

This $100 dollar bill was found on the ground during last week's Agriculture Parade.

Martinsburg Police Chief Kerry Hoover said at first glance the bill looks real but has a waxy feel to it and is imprinted with the words "For Motion Picture Purposes."

Hoover said there have been no reports of anyone trying to pass the bills but warns that a distracted clerk could accept one without realizing it.
