Richard Henry Merritt

Richard Henry Merritt, 70, of Martinsburg, passed away Friday afternoon, July 2, 2021, at the James E. Van Zandt VA Medical Center after an extended illness.

He was born April 12, 1951, in College Hill, Pa., the son of the late Florence (Downs) Clem and Max Merritt.

He is survived by five siblings: Marsha M. Helsel and husband Bruce E. of Williamsburg, Norma J. White and husband Jay of Bedford, Kenneth M. Merritt and wife Ana of El Paso, Texas, Maxine Sundstrom and husband Dennis of Grand Rapids, Mich., and Mark Merritt and wife Jeannie of Concord, NC.
