Catholic Churches Set to Resume Obligation to Attend Mass

In March 2020, the onslaught of COVID-19 suddenly and dramatically changed the routines of our lives. From the way we shopped for groceries, educated our kids, went to work, or worshipped, adjustments had to be made as officials frantically searched for ways to mitigate the spread of the virus.

As efforts to reopen the world from the pandemic’s grips continue, the Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown have announced that the exemption from the obligation to attend mass on Sundays and Holy Days has been lifted.
