A fast-moving fire leveled a barn on Cove Lane Road on Aug. 2. Property owners Terry and Kathy Holsinger said that they stored vehicles and tools in the barn and reported losing a motorcycle, lawn mowers and tools. No animals were kept in the barn. Friendship Fire Co. No. 1 of Roaring Spring responded and was assisted by volunteer fire departments from Martinsburg, Freedom Twp., Southern Cove, Six Mile Run, Saxton and Allegheny Twp. No persons were injured.
