First Year Showman

Jakob Bechtel, 9, shows off Princess Pig, one of two pigs he will show at the upcoming Blair County Jr. Livestock Show and Sale. The other pig is named Darth Pigger.

Jakob attends Martinsburg Elementary School and is entering fourth grade. He is the son of Jason and Sarah Bechtel.

The Blair County Jr. Livestock Show and Sale will take place Aug. 16 and 17 at Morrisons Cove Memorial Park.

The sale is set for 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 17. The sale order will be as follows: rabbits, dairy beef, goats, lambs, swine and beef.
