Greenfield Twp. Man Going to Court with Sexual Assault Charges

A Greenfield Township man is headed to Blair County Court to face multiple felony and misdemeanor charges related to the alleged sexual assault of at least five underage female members of his extended family dating back to 1997.

After a preliminary hearing last month, Martinsburg Magisterial District Judge Andrew Blattenberger found enough evidence to send all charges against David Cory Dobrowolsky, 64, to the Court of Common Pleas.

According to Hollidaysburg State Police, the investigation into Dobrowolsky began on March 10 when the parents of an eleven-year-old girl brought her to the police barracks and accused Dobrowolsky of touching her private area in 2018 when the victim was eight years old.

According to police, the victim said Dobrowolsky touched her private area on at least three occasions. Police said the victim told them that the incidents happened in Dobrowolsky’s bedroom and in the garage area of his property.

That same day, the parents of a now 19-year-old female reported to police that Dobrowolsky inappropriately touched their daughter three times over the span of a week in 2016.

The second victim told police that the first incident happened in the garage area of Dobrowolsky’s home and that Dobrowolsky hugged the victim and grabbed her buttocks and lingered for “a couple of minutes.”

The second victim told police that in the second incident, Dobrowolsky fondled her and when she pulled away Dobrowolsky allegedly asked her, “Don’t you love me?”

While police were investigating the two victim’s claims, they discovered that two other females who are sisters frequently stayed the night at Dobrowolsky’s home. Police said one of the sisters told them that when she was 12 or 13 years old, she was in the kitchen before going to bed when Dobrowolsky hugged her before she went to her basement bedroom. During the hug, Dobrowolsky allegedly held the side of the victim’s breasts. During a second incident, the victim told police that she was asleep in the basement of Dobrowolsky’s home when she was awakened by Dobrowolsky touching her private area.

The second sister told police of two incidents that occurred at Dobrowolsky’s home when she was in the third grade.

According to police, the victim said she was sitting on Dobrowolsky’s lap looking at an iPad when Dobrowolsky put his hand underneath her pant leg.

In the second incident, the victim said she was asleep in the basement of Dobrowolsky’s home when she was awakened by Dobrowolsky attempting to get underneath her blanket and nightgown.

Police then interviewed another extended family member of Dobrowolsky, who said she lived in Dobrowolsky’s home until she was “of age to leave home.”

The victim told police of a series of incidents that happened when she was approximately 12 years old.

The victim told police that on several occasions Dobrowolsky would leave his bedroom door open and when the victim walked by, he would touch himself inappropriately while making eye contact with the victim and smiling.

The victim told police that on another occasion Dobrowolsky picked her up from soccer practice and when the victim got in the car Dobrowolsky had his privates outside his pants and continued to expose himself to her the entire ride home.

A total of 21 felony and misdemeanor counts of indecent assault of a person less than 13 years of age, indecent assault of a person less than 16 years of age, corruption of minors, indecent assault, and indecent exposure were bound over for court.

Dobrowolsky was initially jailed on $50,000 bond. Online court records show he posted bail on June 11 through a professional bondsman. A formal arraignment at the Blair County Courthouse is scheduled for Sept. 3.
