Commissioners Launch Broadband Expansion Projected To Serve 3,900 Customers

On Aug. 17, the Bedford County Commissioners in cooperation with Alleghenies Broadband, Inc. (ABI) launched phase one of their fluid master plan that will expand internet services to unserved and underserved areas throughout Bedford County. Following a solicitation for proposals, Crowsnest Broadband was selected as the provider of Phase One Bedford County Wireless Expansion.

The project includes the purchase and installation of wireless point-to-point (PTP) and point-to-multipoint (PIMP) equipment on twenty-one (21) existing towers in Bedford County. Of the proposed 21 towers, four towers w...
