Minister, Businessman Drown

The Rev. T.F. Reeser, pastor of the Lutheran Church in Hollidaysburg, and J.D. Love, a prominent Hollidaysburg grocer, drowned in the Juniata River about six miles downstream from town. The pair had been fishing below lower Resse when it was thought Rev. Reeser stepped off an underwater embankment into a deep hole and was unable to get out of the water because he was wearing heavy rubber boots.
