Board Approves Scheduling

The Williamsburg School Board adopted an intensive block scheduling program for the 1997-98 school year. The board voted to try the 80-minute class program on a trial basis for one year.
Members of the Martinsburg Mennonite Church welcomed Pastor Lester T. Hershey as their interim pastor. He succeeded Pastor John Davidhizar.
Work began on placement of the remaining I beams on the western end of the Loysburg bypass bridge. Each beam, which weighed 91 tons apiece, was 28 inches wide, eight feet deep and 125 feet long.
