Special Agent With Local Ties Speaks on Her 9/11 Experience

The Community Service of Remembrance to be held at Spring Dam Park this Saturday, Sept. 11, in remembrance of 9/11 will feature Lori Hazenstab, a retired special agent of the U.S. Secret Service from the Cove.

Hazenstab’s sister-in-law Becky’s sister JoEllen Mingle thought she would be the perfect person to speak at this event, knowing Hazenstab had a recollection of her duties this week.

The week of 9/11, Hazenstab was scheduled for training. She was at training when the World Trade Center was hit. The agents in training were sent home to await further instruction.
