Samuel Earl Detwiler

Samuel Earl Detwiler, 87, a resident of Maybrook Hills Rehab and Healthcare Center, Altoona, formerly of Martinsburg, passed away Thursday morning, Sept. 2, 2021 at the center.

He was born Jan. 22, 1934, in Martinsburg, son of the late Ross Anthony and Daisy B. (Beegle) Detwiler. On Oct. 13, 1956, he married Nancy L. Burket in Martinsburg. She preceded him in death on April 29, 2017.

He is survived by a daughter, Tammy L. Thompson (Barry Yarnall) of rural Claysburg; a sister, Freda M. Barnes of Indiana; a nephew, George Detwiler (Rose) of rural Martinsburg; and many other nephews and nieces...
