Morrison Cove Baptist Church Holds 'Old Fashioned' Dinner

Pastor Aaron Musselman, his wife Laura, and his son Jerry hosted a dinner where guests dressed in old-fashioned clothing.

This small but powerful church has a theme-based dinner during months with five weeks. They have a service, eat and then have service in the evening. This is a reminder of how people in the time of Jesus would meet on Sundays, worship and eat all day.

The purpose of this church is the preaching and teaching of the word of God, the administration of the ordinances of the New Testament, the spiritual exhortation, and growth of its members, ministering to its own community, and the spread of the Gospel in all the earth through support of missions.

Jim Civale, who does mission work in Samoa and the Samoa Islands, will be coming on Oct. 25 for the 9:30 and 10:30 a.m. worship services.

Evangelist Mark Kerlin will be speaking on Dec. 12 through 15 at 7 p.m.

The next special dinner will be Sunday, Oct. 31.

This church has a “come as you are” policy, which means you can dress in any attire you like.

The church is located at 3935 Lafayette Road, PO Box 93, Roaring Spring.
