The Penn-Mar Coffee Shop on West Allegheny Street in Martinsburg was sold my Mr. And Mrs. Edwin Wolfe to Robert M. Speidel of Cleveland, Ohio.

Blair R. Bice, former Martinsburg merchant and father of former Herald editor and publisher Blair M. Bice, sold his general store, business property and residence in Millerstown. He and Mrs. Bice were to move to Martinsburg.

Many young people from Morrisons Cove had either already gone or were soon to leave for the various colleges for the winter term.
