Dr. James W. Scott of Martinsburg RR was given a new five-year contract to continue as superintendent of the Spring Cove Schools. Dr. Scott was starting his fifth year under his first contract.

The Morrisons Cove Home Auxiliary celebrated the grand opening of its Café Gift Shop. Barbra Yocum was the shop manager and Doris Swope was the café supervisor.

Shirley Schultz was installed as president of the Iron Masters Ladies Golf Association. Brenda Marriner was vice president and Janet Ayers secretary-treasurer.
