A faith-based nondenominational school recently opened in Roaring Spring. The Growing in Faith Together Learning Center is operating in the basement of the First Church of the brethren and offers programs for infants, preschool, toddlers and school-age children. Cheryl Guyer and Emily Keith are teaching a Montessori-base curriculum.

The Central High School cross-country teams welcomed Tyrone and Mifflin County for a boys’ and girls’ meet Sept. 28. In the girls’ competition, Central defeated Tyrone 15-50 but fell to Mifflin County by the same score. Alyssa Clark...
