Authority Upgrading Billing System

The billing system the Williamsburg Municipal Authority uses for water and sewer is set to expire soon. At last Tuesday evening’s meeting, David Myers made a motion to purchase an upgrade for the VUB (Visual Utility Billing) system. With Harry Mullins seconding, the motion passed.

Mullins made a motion to advertise for bids for contract labor and equipment rates from independent contractors. This would be emergency response for water and sewer repairs and emergencies on an as-needed basis. Daryl Cole seconded the motion, and it passed.

The 2020 audit was presented to authority members. D...
