Special Budget Meeting Notice

The Board of Supervisors of Woodbury Township, Bedford County, has scheduled a special joint meeting to be held on October 21, 2021, immediately following the Woodbury Township Planning Commission meeting at 7 p.m. at the Woodbury Area Community Center Large Meeting Room for the purpose of preparing the proposed 2022 Woodbury Township Budget and any other business that may come before the Board of Supervisors and be added to the agenda by amendment.

Invitation to bid

The supervisors of Taylor Township, Blair County are soliciting bids for services from local electricians/contractors for installation of a 48KW standby generator and 400 amp transfer switch which are currently on order and projected for delivery sometime in late December 2021 to January 2022. Bids should include all labor and materials to complete the project. Interested parties should call the township office at 814-224-2738 to schedule an appointment to inspect township facilities to ad in bid preparation. Township maintenance personnel will be construction the on-site mounting base for the unit.

NOTICE IS GIVEN THAT THE COUNCIL OF THE BOROUGH OF WILLIAMSBURG WILL CONSIDER AN ORDINANCE UNDER THE SMALL WIRELESS FACILITIES DEPLOYMENT ACT (Act 50), AT ITS RECONVENED REGULAR MEETING OF OCTOBER 4, 2021 THAT IS BEING RECONVENED ON THURSDAY, OCTOBER 21, 2021 AT 9 AM IN THE MUNICIPAL BUILDING, 305 E. SECOND STREET, WILLIAMSBURG, PENNSYLVANIA. A SUMMARY OF SUCH ORDINANCE IS AS FOLLOWS:

AN ORDINANCE OF WILLIAMSBURG BOROUGH, BLAIR COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA, ESTABLISHING PROCEDURES AND REQUIREMENTS PERTAINING TO THE IMPLEMENTATION OF ACT 50 OF 2021 AND REGULATING SMALL WIRELESS FACILITIES TO BE PLACED WITHIN THE PUBLIC RIGHT-OF WAY.

The proposed Ordinance creates and establishes procedures, rules, regulations and standards governing the regulation of small wireless facilities in municipal rights-of-way pursuant to the authority set forth in the Small Wireless Facilities Deployment Act, Act of Jun. 30, 2021, P.L. 232, No. 50 (“Act 50”). Act 50 is intended to apply to activities of a wireless provider within the right-of-way to deploy small wireless facilities and associated new utility poles with small wireless facilities attached. The Ordinance authorizes a fee schedule and penalties for violations of the Ordinance. The purpose of the Ordinance is to provide for the health, safety and welfare of the residents of the municipality and to provide for the regulation of small wireless facilities in municipal rights-of-way pursuant to the Authority set forth in Act 50 and to establish design standards. No substantial change in Borough revenue is expected as a result of the passage of either Ordinance.

This ordinance will amend the Plan Document for 2022 with the Pennsylvania Municipal Retirement System, a summary applicable to the Ordinance follows:
