Central High School in Martinsburg Not The Target of Social Media Threat

A social media post making threats to a school referred to a Central High School was circulated over the weekend prompting a local investigation that concluded the threats were not made against Central High School in Martinsburg.

The posted threat, which was circulated nationwide, threatened to “shoot up” Central High School but didn’t specify a location. At least 42 states and the District of Columbia have high school’s named Central.

On Friday, Oct. 22, police in St. Joseph Mo. Arrested three juveniles in connection to the threats.
