Martinsburg Community Fund Sets Goal for 2021 Campaign

A goal of $43,000 has been set for this year’s Martinsburg Area Community Fund Drive.

This year’s goal is the same as the three previous years. The 2021 fund drive will support 16 charitable agencies that do work in the Martinsburg area.

The 16 agencies are Morrisons Cove Memorial Park, Martinsburg Supervised Recreation, Martinsburg Community Library, Spring Cove Youth Baseball League, Southern Alleghenies American Red Cross, Girl Scouts of Western Pa., Laurel Highlands Boy Scout Troop 358, Martinsburg Salvation Army, Home Nursing Agency (Healing Patch), Family Services Inc., Hershberger Memorial Pool Learn to Swim, Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Blair County, Garver Memorial YMCA, Martinsburg Area Food Pantry, Scarlet Dragon Backpack Program, and Mailing and Printing Expenses.

The Community Fund Board is comprised of the following officers: Randy Stoltz, chairman; Jerry McCuller Jr., vice chairman; Earl Springer, secretary; Jamie Johnson, treasurer; Linda K. Smith, assistant treasurer.

The campaign committee is as follows: Smith, residential; Audrey Hite and Linda Showalter, business, clubs and organizations; and Neil Gartland, public relations.

Craig and Nina Ormsby were named honorary representative for the upcoming fund drive.

The campaign began in late September/early October with a mailing to all residents and businesses in the Martinsburg area, requesting contributions and pledges.

Residents and businesses in the Martinsburg area who have not received letters regarding the fund drive but wish to contribute may send monetary donations to the Martinsburg Area Community Fund, P.O. Box 240, Martinsburg, PA 16662.Martinsburg Community Fund Sets Goal for 2021 Campaign
