The 25th Country Store Tour Coming This Weekend and Next

The Cove Country Store Tour is now in its 13th year. Counting both spring and fall tours, this year’s fall tour will be the 25th Country Store Tour.

Ten local shops will participate in this year’s tour to be held the first two weekends in November. The tour dates will be Fridays and Saturdays, Nov. 5, 6, 11, and 12.

Tour hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. all four days. Some stores may be open later.

Each shop will offer at least one of the following festivities:

• Discounts

• Door prizes

• Give-aways

• Refreshments

• Demonstrations

Participants are invited to pick up a punch card at their first tour location. After visiting all ships in the tour, punch cards will be entered into a drawing for one of 11 prizes. The grand prize is a $50 gift card to all 10 stores. Ten second prizes of a $25 gift card to one shop will also be given away.

New to this year’s tour is Kathy’s Country Cricket, located near Woodbury in a circa 1800s log cabin. The store offers local handmade items for inside and outside the home. Other participating shops are the Village Closet & Country Store, Piney Creek Greenhouse & Floral, Nolt’s Bargain Barn, Traditions Restaurant, Bakery & Gift Shop, Roots in the Cove, Rustic Country Antiques – Barnwood, Gartland Supply & Country Store, Fisher’s Party Central, Jane & Jean Boutique, and Jeanette’s Country Decor & Furniture.
