NPC Re-opens Plant

New Printing Co. Inc. announced plans to reopen the Roaring Spring plant as a digital processing and technology training center. The existing NPC structure on Robinson Avenue was being razed to make way for a new $450,000 building that would serve as the company’s information technologies center, providing secure preparation space for a new line of business, high speed digital copying.

State police were investigating an incident of criminal mischief near the Claysburg-Kimmel High School. William Ritchey reported to police that his son was driving his car along Bedford St. when someone in a crowd threw a rock that damaged the vehicle. Police were able to locate the person responsible for throwing the rock and charges are pending.

The Claysburg Area Community Theater was staging a production of “The Rainmaker” at the Claysburg-Kimmel High School auditorium. Heidi Wagner starred as Lizzie Curry. Roger Kisley played the role of Bill Starbuck.
