C-burg Salvation Army Asks for Assistance

It is time again to kick off the 2021 Claysburg Salvation Army Service Unit Campaign. Unfortunately we are still faced with Covid-19 problems. Any bell ringing this year will be limited, and that has been the main source of our income. Let us get to the point. We need everyone’s help.

The newest and easiest is on-line donating if you have access. Simply click this link and make your donation from $1 up to any amount. It is safe and secure: https://give.salvationarmy.org/campaign/use-wpa-kettle-2020-claysburg-service-unit/c314339

You can mail a check made payable to Claysburg Salvation Army to:

Lynn and Janice Crist,

277 Bedford St.

Claysburg, PA 16625

We are asking local businesses where possible to mail a check to the above address. Many of our regular donors from small children to older people will not be able to help this year by dropping money in a kettle. Please help us get through this year. Any amount will help.

We are asking churches to take a freewill offering for the Salvation Army at your church on an Advent Sunday before December 25, 2021. Please contact us to make arrangements to pick up your offering.

Restrictions on bell ringing have given us some new challenges. We needed to get creative. Funds generated will support the emergency needs of local people in 2022 from Newry, PA south to Imler, PA ranging from children, families and senior citizens.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact any of our board members all of whom are local residents. Here are our phone numbers: (814) 239-5900, (814) 239-2901, (814) 239-5452, (814) 239-2592, (814) 239-5722, (814) 239-2155 or (814) 239-5891.

Best wishes,
