On Nov. 10, the Blair County Chamber of Commerce's Farm-City Dinner was held at the East Freedom Firehall. It was a large event with many attending. Chairperson of the Chamber Joseph Diamond gave the welcome and the invocation.
A lasagna meal was served by FFA members from Central High School. The dessert was cheesecake topped with cherries.
Blair County Alternate Dairy Princess Darcy Heltzel served milk punch. She also gave a talk on the importance of food and nutritional value. Heltzel grew up on a farm and knows firsthand how important farming is to this community and others.
