Firearms Bear Season Starts Saturday

Bear hunting has changed dramatically during the past few years. No longer is bear hunting restricted to a three-day season toward the end of November. Instead, the Pennsylvania Game Commission (PGC) has "increased opportunities" by setting various bear seasons during the autumn. There have already been statewide archery and muzzleloader seasons, as well as a special firearms season for certain hunters.
