One day to go until my favorite holiday of the year – Thanksgiving! I think some of the best memories you can make are around the dinner table, and Thanksgiving is no exception.

This is probably a recipe that everyone knows and everyone makes, but it holds such a dear place in my heart because my grandmother, Louise Speck–affectionately known to my sister and I as “Bubba”–always made this dish because it’s one of Julie’s favorites. This is the first Thanksgiving we will have without our beloved Bubba, but just a simple recipe can lock up a memory forever.
