Editor Gifted with Venison

George O. Dilling presented the Herald editor with a venison steak. Mr. Dilling and Mr. William Van Allman of East Sharpsburg shot the deer near Henrietta.

Judge Martin Bell, the Blair County Commissioners and Directors of the Poor, with officers of the Children’s Aid Society of Blair County, spent a day in Martinsburg discussing the possibilities of founding a county children’s home. The vacant buildings of the Juniata Collegiate Institute were examined. The group favored an act of the state legislature authorizing the establishment of a home for poor children....
