Douglass Edward (Eddie) Baughman, 56, recently of Roaring Spring, formerly of Nokesville, Va., passed away Monday evening Dec. 6, 2021, at UPMC Altoona after a brief battle with cancer.

He was born June 2, 1965, in Butler, the son of the late Douglass Baughman and Esther (Neterer) Griffith. He married Kathleen Michelle Rafter Nov. 2, 1992.

He is survived by his wife; two brothers: Michael Baughman and wife Angela and Kevin Baughman and wife Donette; four nieces: Brittany, Katie, Vickie, and Tiffany; a nephew, Michael, Jr .; and special friends that Eddie considered family, Roy and Cathy Stoneberger, Tom and Tweety Ralls, and Carol James.

Eddie was a 1983 graduate of Chestnut Ridge High School. He was a self employed carpenter for over 30 years. He loved working with wood.

At the request of the deceased there will be no viewing and a celebration of life service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Eddie’s memory may be given to the American Cancer Society.
