Park Considers Dog Park

Directors of the Morrisons Cove Memorial Park were considering adding a Dog Park to generate income. Roseanne Conrad, executive director, presented a study that had been conducted over the past year that showed strong community support for an off leash dog park.

Anna O. Cramer of The Village at Morrisons Cove, formerly of Williamsburg, died at the age of 100. Mrs. Cramer was a native of Keckovce, Slovakia and emigrated to Williamsburg at the age of 11.

Noah Over, a 15-year-old Northern Bedford student and scout from Troop 484, Woodbury, was spearheading an effort to expand the WWII monument in Woodbury to include all veterans. He had collected 322 for the memorial and expected to receive more.

The conveyor belt over Route 36 that was used to transport materials from the New Enterprise Stone and Lime Company quarry to waiting railroad cars was dismantled and removed. It was no longer used and was in bad condition, leading to liability concerns.
