Blair County’s 911 emergency call system was scheduled to go online on Jan. 14. There were six emergency lines, and residents were urged to use the lines for emergency calls only. Residents were asked to make sure their address was clearly marked on homes and mailboxes so emergency responders could easily find their destinations.
