Glenn William Detwiler, 72, of Martinsburg, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday evening, Jan. 19, 2022, at Conemaugh Nason Medical Center, Roaring Spring.

He was born Aug. 18, 1949, in Roaring Spring, son of the late Mahlon B. Detwiler and Dorothy Shultz. On June 19, 1972, he married Sondra Jane Miller in Hollidaysburg, and she preceded him in death May 22, 2016.

He is survived by a daughter, Lisa K. Reininger (Shawn) of East Freedom; two sons: Bryon K. Detwiler of Altoona and Isaac W. Detwiler of Roaring Spring; a daughter-in-law, Nadezda Detwiler of Williamsburg; six grandchildren: Andrew, Emily, Casea, Katie, Olesya and Brandon; two great-grandchildren: Braxton and Huxley; and a brother, Kenneth E. Detwiler of Cape Canaveral , Fla.

He was preceded in death by a son, Adam W. Detwiler; and a sister, Beverly A. Mellott.

Glenn attended Williamsburg High School and owned and operated a garage at his home in Martinsburg, where he did autobody and mechanical work on about anything with an engine.

He was a United States Navy veteran, and attended both Trinity United Methodist Church of Roaring Spring, and Target One Ministries in Martinsburg.

Glenn loved spending time with his family, working on farm and lawn tractors, fishing, and taking train rides and road trips.

A funeral took place Monday, Jan. 24, 2022, at John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc. Martinsburg

(www.bolgerfuneralhome.com). Pastor Philip Waite officiated. Private interment was held at Oreminea Cemetery, rural Williamsburg.

Memorial contributions in memory of Glenn may be given to the Central PA Humane Society, 1837 E. Pleasant Valley Blvd., Altoona, PA 16602.
