Marko Sets Blair County Mark

Central's Ty Biesinger (left) advanced through the early rounds of the Thomas Automotive Family High School Wrestling Tournament before losing to Chestnut Ridge's Brock Holderbaum in the finals in the 113 lb. match Saturday, Jan. 29, at Bedford High School.

The Central Wrestling team faced Claysburg Kimmel in one match this week on Tuesday, as well as participating in the Thomas Chevrolet Tournament on Friday and Saturday.

In Tuesday's match, the Dragons were victorious over the Bulldogs with a score of 33-26. Jaxon Mathews (138) recorded a pin at 1:48, while Max Baker (160) won a 2-0 decision. Isaac Smith (126), Camdyn Wenerick (215), and Wyatt Holsinger (285) all won by forfeits. The wins in this match gave coach Dave Marko 318 wins, the most coaching wins in Blair County.
