Lunch Guidelines Changing

USDA dietary guidelines for school lunches were changing in response to concerns among physicians about increases in childhood obesity. New standards included doubling the amount of fruits and vegetables, reducing sodium content, serving only whole grain food, and lowering the fat content of milk.
Pam Foor and her daughters Madison, Alexis, and Courtney of Everett all entered baked goods in the Pennsylvania Farm Show. They entered the Hershey Chocolate Cake, apple pie, angel food, and sticky bun competitions and each placed highly in one or more of the events.
