Construction of the Morrisons Cove Memorial Church of the Brethren was completed. The congregation planned to dedicate the building later in the month.

Mrs. Elizabeth Frederick Wisler died in her family home in Roaring Spring at the age of 59 due to tuberculosis of the bone. She was the wife of Samuel Wiser and had four children.

A quilting party was held at the home of Mrs. Paul Teeter of New Enterprise.

Owing to the prevalence of diphtheria on Piney Creek, the Literary meeting scheduled for February 17 at the Clappertown School was rescheduled.
