Council Voted for Webpage

Roaring Spring Borough Council voted unanimously to accept a recommendation from Councilman Craig Curfman to hire Bedford County Computer Services to create and maintain a web page for the borough.

Freedom Township supervisors voted to end their joint police agreement with Greenfield Township. The supervisors were planning to create their own police force.

The Northern Bedford Boys Basketball Team upped their record to 17-4 with a 69-51 win over Chestnut Ridge.

Larger aircraft will begin using the Blair County Airport on a six month trial basis to “prove the market”. The new aircraft would seat 19 and have the services of a flight attendant.

The one lane bridge across the Frankstown Branch of the Juniata River downstream from the former Williamsburg generating station was removed. It was owned by General Public Utilities and considered a liability.
