Klevans Store and Fashion Shop at Roaring Spring, which had served the community for 45 years, were sold. The new owners stated that there would be no change in personnel and that they would continue with the same charge accounts, suit club and store hours.

Williamsburg Borough Council hired Richard Brantner as chief of police at a salary of $6,400, subject to satisfactory work during a 60-day probationary period. At the same meeting, Mayor C.
