Ingrid Metzler, 87, of Chambersburg, was welcomed to her eternal home in Heaven with Jesus Wednesday evening, Feb. 2, 2022.

She was born Aug. 5, 1934, in Nuremberg, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Fritz Sonnekalb and Ellen Sonnekalb Hafner Keller. She and her husband of 66 years, Richard L. Metzler, met as students at Goshen College in Goshen, Ind.

In addition to her husband, Ingrid is survived by three sons: Steven L. Metzler (Donna) of Fredericksburg, Va., Stuart L. Metzler of Canonsburg, and F. Peter Metzler (Kellie) of Gibsonia; and four grandchildren, Lukas R. Metzler, Steph...
